Exciting news about the next chapter in the life of Camp of the Hills. As many of you know, for more than three decades, this ministry has been a place of refuge, renewal, and hope for thousands of children from across Texas. That legacy continues today — and it is with great joy and confidence that we introduce our new Executive Director, Dr. Kevin Ludlum.

Kevin, he prefers to drop the “Dr.”, joined the Camp’s family just in time to participate in this summer’s new counselor training. Over the next three months he will work closely with Michael Thames to learn all of our operations, stories, and meet our partners here at the Camp of the Hills.

Kevin brings a strong background in team building, people development, organizational growth, resource development/management, along with a deep love for ministry. “It is the honor of a lifetime to serve as the next Executive Director of Camp of the Hills,” Kevin shared.  “This ministry has touched thousands of lives, and I am eager to build on its strong foundation to reach thousands more children with the healing love of Christ.”

Starting this fall, Michael Thames will move into a new role as Camp Ambassador, continuing to support the work of Camp through fund development, relationship building, and strategic growth initiatives.  Michael commented that, “passing the torch to Kevin as only the third Executive Director in Camp’s 35-year history is a tremendous honor. I believe in him, and I believe God is guiding Camp of the Hills into a new season of growth and impact for the Kingdom.”
