Camp of Good Hope is a Christian camp located in Cape Town, South Africa. Established in 2023, it is modeled after Camp of the Hills, with a mission to serve and minister to at-risk children through the transformative experience of camp.
Joshua, the camp’s Executive Director, spent nearly a year at Camp of the Hills, receiving hands-on training in all aspects of camp ministry—including summer camp programming, finance and budgeting, retreats and rentals, board governance, administration, and fundraising. Camp of the Hills provided the foundational organizational structure, strategic planning, and initial funding to help launch Camp of Good Hope. Additionally, they partnered with Joshua to begin building a network of new donors and partners.
In the summer of 2023, we had the privilege of sending a team of our leadership staff to support the very first summer camps held by Camp of Good Hope. The camps took place at a rented site, but during our visit, we also had the opportunity to pray over a nearby property that was for sale—one with strong infrastructure and the potential to become the permanent home for the camp.
Through a God-sized miracle, a generous partner stepped in at just the right time, allowing us to purchase the property in 2024. Since then, renovations have been completed, staff have been hired, and children have already experienced the joy of attending camp at this beautiful new location.
We are incredibly humbled to be part of this amazing journey with Joshua, his wife Jessica, and their growing family. Camp of the Hills remains actively involved—providing ongoing funding, training, and sending mission teams each year to support the life-changing work being done at Camp of Good Hope.
